5 Ways to Make Ordinary Time Extraordinary

Read the Gospel Daily
During Ordinary Time, the Church arranges the weekly Gospels readings to tell the story of Jesus’ daily life. Like the disciples, we will witness the extraordinary life of Jesus, through the Gospel. You can find the daily readings at USCCB.org.

Faith in Action
We can shake up Ordinary Time, by taking action. Volunteer at a soup kitchen, join your parish choir, create a prayer group, or any idea that you might have to spread the faith. It is time to wear our faith on our sleeve; it is time to TAKE ACTION.

A Prayer Routine
Ordinary Time can be used as a time to deepen our prayer life. We should make prayer part of our daily routine. A Prayer routine can be simple as promising to pray as short prayer in the morning, noon, and night.

Research a New Saint
One of the best ways to increase your faith is by reading the lives of the saints. There are so many extraordinary saints throughout history to discover. Make an effort to learn and reflect on the life of a new saint each week.

Finding Jesus
Like the game, “Where’s Waldo?” we can ask ourselves “Where’s Jesus” in our lives. This Ordinary Time let us find Jesus in the little things, such as, our daily sacrifices, nature, or in our neighbors. Jesus is everywhere, and it is up to us to find Him.

Great simple list of ideas. Sometimes we get to much instruction and it then seems overwhelming. Thanks

I was also wondering where you got the photo from? That is my parents Church in Scottsdale AZ. St. Patrick's with Father Eric. Have you been there before?
