The Patron Saint of the Impossible is St. Jude Thaddeus. St. Jude was one of the twelve apostles and a missionary to spread the Good News of Christ to the nations. He preached the gospel with strength and determination. With the power of the Holy Spirit, he performed many miracles while proclaiming the Word of God in foreign countries. St. Jude died a martyr for the faith.
Because of his name being similar to the traitor Judas, St. Jude was unknown to the Catholic world. However, during World War II, families invoked the aid of this powerful intercessor. Jesus told St. Bridget, “In accordance with his surname, Thaddeus, the amiable or loving, he will show himself most willing to give help.” Let us also invoke the aid of St. Jude, whose feast day is October 28.
